America singer Maxwell’s concert in South Africa has been cancelled. The soulful “Pretty Wings” hitmaker was set to perform in the country this August to celebrate Women’s Month.
Maxwell’s show was set to make two stops in Pretoria and Cape Town with tour dates as follows:
8 August 2026 at Sunbet Arena, Pretoria
11 August 2026 at Grand Arena GrandWest, Cape Town
According to a brief statement released by singer, shared by Vertex Events, the concert has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Maxwell’s control.
“Due unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, I’m unfortunately no longer able to perform in South Africa as planned. This decision wasn’t made lightly. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the shows. I appreciate your understanding and continued support. I hope to be back with you soon” – Maxwell
All ticket holders will be refunded in full.
