The highly anticipated match between Liverpool and Manchester City played on Sunday evening, 16 October 2022 at Anfield stadium did not disappoint.
The first half started off on a sketch start with both teams looking to draw first blood. The tightly contested match went into halftime goalless.
The second half started off on a high tempo with Mo Salah attempting to score and his attempt saved by goalkeeper EdersonSantana de Moraes in the 51st minute of the match.
Philip Foden scored a goal for City in the 53rd minute of the match but when VAR was checked it was ruled as not a goal as there was a foul in the build up.
Both teams attempted to bypass each other’s defense but no goal was produced until the 76th minute of the match when Mo Salah scored a goal for Liverpool.
City fought for an equalizer for the remainder of the match but it was not meant to be as Liverpool took the three points with the match ending 1-0.
