The second match of the Rugby World Cup was a nail biting match with both Fiji and Springbok Women looking for a win at the Waitakere stadium in New Zealand on Sunday morning, 16 October 2022.
Fiji dominated the South African team in the first half leading14-7 by halftime. The Springbok women’s team stepped up in the second half and led over Fiji but it was not meant to be as a last minute try by a Fiji player ensured that the match ended 21-17 in favour of Fiji.
The Springbok women are yet to register a win at the world cup. They will be playing against England on 23 October 2022 at the Waitakere stadium.
