German car manufacturer Volkswagen, recently shared with the public snippets of their new third generation Volkswagen Tiguan model, which will be launched globally in 2024. As part of their final test drive procedure, VW shared details of their upcoming third generation Tiguan.
The new generation Tiguan will now have premium features such as new IQ. LIGHT HD matrix headlights and a newly developed active suspension control system. VW says that with plug-in hybrid drive, the new Tiguan will achieve an electric driving range of up to 100 kilometres in future.
The Interior of the new Tiguan has been redesigned and improved based on customer feedback. Based on customer feedbacks, the Tiguan’s interior will now have a 15’’ inch infotainment screen that is slightly tilted towards the driver, displaying important functions like navigation, music, and climate control. The Tiguan will also come with newly developed seats and an effective noise cancellation cabin which improves the comfort of being inside the car.
VW says that in future the Tiguan will be only offered with an automated shift gearbox (DSG). The Tiguan will also no longer have a traditional gear stick, the driver will now select gears using a newly designed steering column switch.
The boot capacity of the new Tiguan has been increased by 33 litres to 648 litres. This allows more luggage to fit into the car, making it suitable for family road trips.
The length of the third generation Tiguan has increased by 3cms, however, the car’s height and width remain the same as the previous Tiguan models.
Not much can be said in terms of exterior design because VW is still developing this third Generation of the Tiguan model, and for now, it is covered with automotive camouflage until VW globally launches the Tiguan.
