Trevor Noah has announced that he will be leaving The Daily Show after seven years as the host.
“We have laughed together, we have cried together. But after seven years, I feel like it’s time,” Noah said.
Noah says that he wants to focus more on stand-up comedy and explore other interests.
The 38 year old comedian took over from Jon Stewart as host of the Comedy Central program in 2015.
“I spent two years in my apartment (during Covid-19), not on the road. Stand-up was done, and when I got back out there again, I realised that there’s another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring,” Noah told his studio audience late on Thursday.
The announcement comes hot off the heels of his recent SA tour announcement which is schedule for 2023, more details on the HERE.
