South African actress and L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador Thuso Mbedu will be one of the judges for the upcoming Miss South Africa 2023 pageant. The event will take place on Sunday, 13 August 2023 at the Sun Bet Arena Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng. Thuso will be judging alongside Leandie Du Randt, Devi Sankaree Govender, Jo- Ann Strauss and R’bonney Nola.
The purpose of Thuso joining the Miss South Africa 2023 pageants as a judge is to influence and inspire the finalists with her journey of resilience and self belief, to encourage them to celebrate their worth and re-define their traditional beauty standards. 
The Top 7 finalists in the running for the Miss South Africa crown are Anke Rothmann, Bryoni Govender, Homba Mazaleni, Jordan van der Vyver, Melissa Nayimuli, Nande Mabala and Natasha Joubert.
