Congratulations are in order for the South African National Rugby Team, the Springboks and captain Siya Kolisi who have been nominated at this years Laureus World Sports Awards.
The Springboks who won the 2023 Rugby World Cup for a second consecutive time and four times in total have been nominated in the “World Team Of The Year” category. Meanwhile, captain Siya Kolisi bagged a nomination in the “World Comeback Of The Year” category. 
Kolisi is nominated alongside Gymnastics champion Simone Biles, footballer Sebastian Haller, who recently won the 2023 AFCON Cup with Ivory Coast, Athletics champ Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Tennis star Markéta Vondroyšová and basketball player Jamal Murray.
