Team South Africa is currently excelling in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with the Blitzboksadding gold medals to Team SA tally on Sunday, 31 July.
The Blitzboks won 31-7 against Fiji becoming the Men’s Seven Rugby Commonwealth Games 2022 Champions
Swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker won gold with 2:21.92 time, Jenna Strauch winning silver with a 2:23.65 time and fellow South African Kaylene Corbett winning the bronze medal with a time of 2:23.67 in the 200m breaststroke final.
Chad Le Clos won a silver medal in the men’s 200m butterfly with 1:55.89 time.
The Spar Proteas team secured their first win against Barbados with a 91-36 score line.
SA Teen swimmer, Lara van Niekerk and Pieter Coetze won gold in the 50m breaststroke final and 100m backstroke with record times of 29.73 and 53.78 respectively on Saturday, 30 July.
The team SA medal tally is 6 in total with 4 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
