South Africa confirms first case of “Monkeypox”

 Just when we thought things could be getting slightly better with the low Covid-19 cases, the scrapping of the mask and the easing of  restrictions, the country could soon be dealing with a new virus called “monkeypox”.

The Department of Health Minister Joe Phaahla confirmed that a 30 year old South African man based in Johannesburg has been diagnosed with monkeypox despite having not traveled outside of the country.
