Roger Federer Announces Retirement

Professional Tennis player Roger Federer announced today, 15 September 2022 that he is retiring from Grand Slams and Tours.

As per the statement released by Federer, “tennis has treated me more generously than I ever would have dreamt, and now I must recognize when it is time to end my competitive career.”

He went on to indicate that the Laver Cup happening from 23 to 25 September 2022 in London will be his final Associates of Tennis Professionals.

Federer thanked his wife Mirka, his four children, his parents,sister, his team, sponsors, competition on court and his fans for the support they have given him over the years.

The 41 year old had been battling with injuries over the yearsand has played over 1500 matches with a career spanning for 24 years.
