Legendary America music producer, composer and musician Quincy Jones has passed away at the age of 91.
In a statement released to the media and public, the Jones family announced “Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share- the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him,” they said.
His publicist share that he died on Sunday night at his Bel Air, Los Angeles home surrounded by his family.
Jones worked with Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, Will Smith, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.
He composed for numerous films and series, including The Wiz, The Color Purple, Roots, The Italian Job, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (for which he was also an executive producer).

He has been nominated 80 times for the coveted Grammy awards and won 28 times.
