Popular South African hip hop DJ Dimplez real name Boitumelo Mooi has passed away at the age of 40 after suffering a brain haemorrhage on 6 March.
According to reports, Dimplez was rushed to a hospital after he collapsed at an event. The DJ’s family then made the decision to take him off life support after seeing how dire his condition was. David Mooi (Dimplez’ cousin) confirmed that he passed on in the presence of his family.
The SAMA nominated DJ and Pop Bottles pioneer was laid to rest yesterday at a private funeral which was also live streamed on YouTube.
