[RIP]: Actor Matthew Perry Has Passed Away At 54

The entertainment industry is in mourning as news of Matthew Perry’s tragic death has left his friends and fans utterly devastated. The beloved actor, known for his role as Chandler Bing on the NBC television sitcom ‘Friends’ passed away at the age of 54, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and unforgettable moments. He died by drowning.

Perry’s Friends co-stars were left devastated by the loss of their friend and colleague. The bond formed among the cast during the show was evident both on and off the screen. Perry’s passing has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

According to Sky News, in a joint statement, the Friends co-stars said: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.

“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

“In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Behind the scenes, Perry suffered from addiction to drugs and alcohol, specifically pain killers. He was hooked on Vicodin for years and had been in and out of rehab. It is reported that a 911 call was made following Perry’s tragic death. He was found in a Jacuzzi at his home by his assistant. There were no drugs found at the scene and no foul play involved.

Though there were no signs of foul play at the scene of his death, it is reported that the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division has taken over the investigation into his shock passing. TMZ reported, “It may come as a surprise to some because foul play is not suspected at this point but cops say it’s just standard procedure for (its Robbery Homicide Division to investigate) high-profile cases.”

Matthew Perry’s passing is a profound loss not only for the entertainment industry but for fans who grew up watching him on Friends.
