Polokwane Rolls Out The Red Carpet For Makhadzi’s Homecoming

Thousands of fans flooded the streets of Polokwane to welcome home their beloved songstress Makhadzi, as she returned to her hometown basking in the glory of her latest successes.

The newly crowned Best New International Act was honoured with a celebratory breakfast at Meropa Casino, following her return to South Africa last week.

The prodigious singer, known to her fans as Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, had landed back in South Africa to joyous fans, eager to congratulate her on herprestigious BET Award.

According to an article by Times Live, Makhadzi’s manager Maphuti Pereze expressed his gratitude during an interview with TshisaLive, saying: “Today was very special, this award means hope for the people of Limpopo province, a province that is overlooked.” “We went to the streets and the joy on the supporters’ faces was priceless. We really appreciate the support and the love is just too beautiful,” he adds.

Makhadzi’s humble beginnings as a street performer in Thohoyandou, Vhembe District, laid the foundation for her remarkable journey. She keeps on elevating South Africa’s reputation on the world stage. Her Story serves as a beacon of inspiration for young girls demonstrating that with talent, hard work, and determination, they too can achieve international recognition and acclaim.

Polokwane’s favourite daughter, Makhadzi expressed her excitement about the award and said, “I used to perform in taverns, but because I’ve always believed in myself and loved my craft, I’m here with support of my fans.” “Now my price is going up. They must watch out. We are going for a Grammy next!
