Netflix has pulled yet another South African based series called “Home Wrecker”, which will premiere on 07 July 2023, with lead actors Letoya Makhene-Pulumo and Enhle Mbali Mlotswa.
This series is about a woman named Kenzie Miyeni (Letoya Makhene-Pulumo) who recently got a job transfer from Durban. Soon after her arrival at her new job, her colleague Tamara Olpihant (Enhle Mbali Mlotswa) introduces her boyfriend, Willington Nkosi (Nay Maps), to Kenzie Miyeni. Turns out, Kenzie Miyeni and Tamara Olpihant’s boyfriend know each other from way back.
Soon after, Kenzie Miyeni starts to become envious and extremely obsessed with Tamara’s life, all because her colleague has a loving partner, a great home, and a successful career. Kenzie’s obsession pushes her to do wild and outrageous things, all in the name of taking over Tamara’s life.
The plot twist within the series keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, as Kenzie’s violent and obsessive behaviour leaves Tamara with no choice but to literally fight for her life, her career, and her family, as Kenzie is on a mission to take over every aspect of Tamara’s life.
Based on the trailer, this series looks like it will deliver on entertainment, keeping the audience curious of Kenzie’s next move. Also, with how everything unfolds within the series, it looks like the audience is in for a ride on an emotional rollercoaster.
South Africans are delighted and eagerly waiting to see Letoya Makhene-Pulumo back on their screens, since she paused her acting career a while back, after her highly controversial role as ‘Tshidi’ on Generations.
“So, I know you all thought that I had given up on acting…Nope!!! I am excited to announce that my first @netflixsa film is finally coming to your screens.”, Says Letoya Makhene-Pulumo on her Instagram account.
She further expressed her gratitude and excitement to her producers, “Thank you to my amazing producers @salaminamosese for having so much faith in me and allowing me to take this character to the extremes that I did.”
“Catch myself and @enhlembali_ go head-to-head as we embody these characters.”
