Kaizer Chiefs Appoints Molefe Ntseki as New Head Coach

South African football club, Kaizer Chiefs announced on Wednesday 28 June 2023, that they have appointed Molefe Ntseki as the new Head Coach of the first team. Mr. Ntseki’s appointment as Head Coach is with immediate effect.

The appointment of Mr. Ntseki is a result of the restructuring of the technical team. This means Mr. Ntseki will now take over the coaching duties of the senior team from Coach Arthur Zwane, whom will return to the role being an assistant coach, along with Dillion Sheppard.

“We would like to congratulate Coach Ntseki and thank him for accepting this huge responsibility. We know it’s not an easy task but we believe his experience and knowledge will help us improve and achieve our goals as Kaizer Cheifs. He has been here for two years, working well with Coaches Arthur and Dillion in his role as Head of Technical, and will now work with them in a different capacity,” said Executive Chairman, Dr Kaizer Motaung.

Before Mr. Ntseki was appointed as Head Coach, he served as the Club’s Head of Technical and Youth Development at Kaizer Chiefs. He has great experience of coaching at the highest level, including a spell as Head Coach of the men’s senior football team, Bafana Bafana. Mr. Ntseki also served as an assistant coach of the national team, and coaching various junior national teams.

The soccer club looks forward towards having Mr. Ntseki as Head Coach. So that he can utilise his knowledge and experience towards improving the team’s performance and also maintaining stability within the team.

“We will provide him with the support that he needs in his new role”, added Chairman Motaung.

Mr. Ntseki is eager to take on this huge responsibility asthe club’s new Head Coach of the first team. “I fully accept this huge responsibility that the chairman, our Board of Directors and the club have bestowed on me with humility and respect. I thank them for their confidence and belief in me to become the captain of the ship. I look forward to working with everyone involved in the technical team to bring joy to our millions of Amakhosi supporters around the world.” he said.

In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs has also appointed former goalkeeper coach, Rainer Dinkelacker as a Strategic Adviser in the goalkeeping department of the Club. Mr. Dinkelacker will hand in hand with other goalkeeper coaches and goalkeepers, within the next season.
