Lionel André’s Messi has made history once again with his 8th Ballon d’Or win.
The Argentinian football player bagged what could possibly be his 8th and last Ballon d’Or at tonight’s glamorous ceremony hosted in Paris.
Messi attended the awards along with his beautiful wife Antonella and their three sons. Also in attendance to hand over the award to Messi was his Inter Miami boss David Beckham.

36 year old Messi now holds the record for the most Ballon d’Or wins and he’s done so over a span of 14 years.
Messi won his first Ballon d’Or in 2009 at the age of 22 and thereafter back to back in 2010, 2011 and 2012. He continued his winning streak in 2015, 2019 and 2021.

Now 14 years later since his first Ballon d’Or, the FIFA World Cup winner walked away with Ballon d’Or number 8.
Leo is undoubtedly the best player in the world and the best player football has ever produced. His longevity and consistency is unrivalled, his passion for the game is admirable and his success is as a result of truly doing what he was born to do and what he enjoys.
To even think about the year Messi will retire is torture and so I chose to savour and enjoy every bit of his presence on the field.
CONGRATULATIONS MESSI
