South African rapper Cassper Nyovest is set to host the 2026 South African Music Awards.
The rapper has ended his years long feud with the awards ceremony to make a comeback as this years host. For years Cassper had vowed to never be part of the SAMAs by refusing to submit his music or attend the ceremonies after questioning their credibility.
However, it appears the “Doc Shebeleza” hitmaker and the SAMAs have made amends, signalling a fresh start for the rapper.
“The cat is out the bag. I am so excited for this. After 10 years of not seeing eye to eye, they called me in and we have come to an agreement. This is gonna be huge. August 15. We are going to Sun City and I am your official host. Tickets out now at Ticketpro. #Sama32.” – shared the rapper.
This years awards are returning to Sun City and will be hosted on 15 August 2026. Tickets are available on Ticketpro.
