Cassie has broken her silence days after a video where she is seen being physically assaulted by ex-boyfriend P Diddy was leaked and shared first on CNN.
Following the release of the video, P Diddy took to his Instagram to share an “apology” video which appeared to only serve him and what’s left of his brand. Many news outlets, social media users and celebrities slammed Diddy for the fake apology and narcissistic behaviour.
Last year Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy and in that law suit she mentioned this exact incident which was caught on video by the hotel security cameras. Diddy settled that lawsuit a day after it was filed and paid Cassie $30 million.
It’s also alleged that Diddy then paid $50 000 for the tape. However, last month his house was raided and its believe that the tape was found during the raid.
Cassie took to her social media to thank everyone for the love and support they’ve been showing her and to encourage others in similar circumstances to speak up and for people to believe victims of abuse the first time when they speak out.
