[CARS]: Is The Aston Martin Vantage Your Dream Car

Aston Martin in recent years has been creating one of the greatest vehicles of the current age, with everything going electric and hybridized. Aston Martin CEO says that they will be producing V8s and V12 engines till they are no more allowed to. And the Aston Martin Vantage is a brutal answer to electric cars.

This new Aston Martin vantage features the familiar AMG 4-liter biturbo V8 but, with an Aston Martin tune, it produces 660 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, a whopping 150horsepower increase over the previous generation Vantage. This also mean that the V12 engine will no longer be found in the Vantage but will be reserved for the bigger supercars. Coincidentally the V8 in the Vantage is the exact same power figure that’s in the bigger DB12. Although that is a more super grand tourer whereas this is a full fat supercar, thatprovides a unique driving experience. The suspension is stiffer with revised active damper system for daily use and track days.

The Vantage really behaves when driving around town, the eight-speed torque convertor shifts smoothly, while the V8 burbles away as it gains speed without making a fuss. However, press the sport or track mode, the Vantage wakes up, the exhaust flaps open and the gearbox shifts instantly, and the supercar behavior is unleashed. During the launch control the Vantage will do the acceleration time in 3.2 seconds and will go on till its top speed of over 300 km/h.

The exterior has been sculpted to perfection; it is inspired by the Aston Martin One-77 hyper car. And falls in line with every other modern Aston Martin, the DB12, Vanquish and Valhalla. Being the sportscar model of the range, it is shorter and wider than the other Astons. But still retains the aspects of the previous generation Vantage like the rear-end but updated with a cool air vent and quad exhaust tips.

In the previous Vantage, the interior was sporty but had a very old Mercedes infotainment system that aged the car quicker than it ahold have been. However, this new interior is definitely very exciting especially when it comes with some physical buttons in 2025. The infotainment system is easy to use, it does come with apple carplay and android auto connectivity. The Aston Martin interior can be optioned out with various colors, textures, and inlays, so it can be personalized to your taste.

Aston Martin have done a great job updating the Vantage, it really is an amazing sportscar for purist but also for the average consumer. However, it does face some stiff competition from the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Mercedes-AMG GT 63.
