Cape Town’s Aerial Cable Way Resumes Business

The Cape Town’s famous tourism attraction, The Table Mountain Ariel Cableway Company has resumed back to business. This was after a two week annual maintenance service that was scheduled from the 24th July to 6th August 2023 for Cape Town’s famous tourism attraction.

The Table Mountain Ariel Cableway Company will be back in operation and will open it’s doors to tourists on the 7th of August 2023, should the weather permit.

“Our annual maintenance periods allow us to make important updates and upgrades to all aspects of our business and operations so that we can offer visitors an even better and more enjoyable experience that is compliant with international safety standards”, said Wahida Parker, Managing Director of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) in a press statement.

The last annual maintenance of the TMACC was done  in 2022 which cost the TMACC to close for a period of six weeks. Fortunately this time the maintenance was not so intense instead it cost the TMACC only two weeks.

“We thank everyone for their understanding and patience while we were closed, especially the visitors who came to town to enjoy the Netball World Cup. There never is a perfectly suitable time for this work to be scheduled, but we must put safety first in everything we do,” says Parker.
The restuarants, abulation block as well as retailers at the Lower Cableway Station are expected to be back in operation by Monday the 7th of August 2023.

To people who had free birthday tickets during the shut down are advised to not worry since they can still qualify for a free ride.

“Anyone celebrating their birthday in the months of July and August will still be able to qualify for a free ride in August. This means you have more time to celebrate your special day with us,” adds Parker.
