Barcelona Football Club (FC) have made the much-anticipated announcement of Robert Lewandowski joining the team from Bayern Munich. Lewandowski will be with Barcelona for four seasons with a 500 million euro buyout clause in his contract.
As per the statement released by Barcelona FC, “I am ready to be part of this club with a great history and to make even more history and win titles.”
The Polish striker is a two-time European Golden Shoe winner and had joined Bayern Munich in 2014 with 344 goals to his name prior to leaving for Barca.
The footballer even got a welcome home event hosted by Barca on 20 July 2022 where he was unveiled.
This announcement puts the rumours that have been circulating on social media about Lewandowski to rest.
