Award winning artist and producer Anatii took to social media to announce that he has removed all his solo albums off streaming platforms.
The announcement took fans by surprise with many wondering what led to his decision and also why he didn’t let them know beforehand so that they could “save” his music.
Nonetheless, what’s done is done and although Anatii did not share the specific reasons behind his decision, judging by his follow up tweet, we’re going to assume that he’s in the process of taking full ownership of his work.
Many artists lose out financially to streaming platforms which make more money from the artists music than the artists themselves so it makes sense for them to want to own 100% of their catalog and be able to create how they want to and perhaps share their music on platforms that do not rip them off!
We’re just happy it wasn’t a retirement announcement.
