Lamborghini Makes It’s First Ever Off-Road Super Car

Italian super car manufacturer Lamborghini shakes the super car industry with its new super car that has off-road capabilities, the Lamborghini Huracan Strerrato.

Lamborghini definitely took a bold step with this design. Reflecting back on how Lamborghini once took the risk of building its first SUV, the Lamborghini Urus, which later became the fastest SUV in the world, it is safe to say that Lamborghini hardly disappoints with its innovations.

In terms of exterior design, the Lamborghini Sterrato still manages to maintain its elegant and yet aerodynamic design from the traditional Lamborghini Huracán Evo.

What makes it different from the Lamborghini Huracán Evo you ask? The Lamborghini Sterrato is equipped with 44mm higher suspension, which gives the car more ground clearance. The Sterrato is also fitted with underbody protection, sills and also wheel arches that give it a wider and muscular look.

The new Lamborghini Sterrato is equipped with a powerful 5.2l V10 engine, that is able to reach a top speed of 260 km/h (161.5mph). The engine produces 449 kw, 560Nm of torque, which help the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4s. It has a fuel consumption of 14.9l/100 km/h. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), along with an electronic all-wheel drive system, and a mechanical self-locking differential, all work in together in assisting the car to drive through rough terrain.

Lamborghini produced a limited number of 1499 units of the Lamborghini Sterrato, globally. The starting price Lamborghini demands for the Lamborghini Sterrato, is $270 000 (R5 303 340). This new design that Lamborghini ran with, received mixed reactions on social media platforms, some people like the new design, while others beg to differ.

“No Lie, if I had money, I’d definitely get one.” Says @VezamafaMasi on Twitter.

“Finally, something to tackle the potholes and speed bumps in #CentralLondon without upsetting the #TyreExtinguishers.” Says @My_OtherBrother on Twitter.

“Boring…just another very simple Lamborghini body kit. They could do so much more and yet they still just give us minimal; knowing that people will frown on over it and buy it because it’s a Lamborghini.” Commented @Deepsouth617 on Twitter.
