South African rapper/Lekompo artist Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke is reportedly seeking bail once more, this time through his new legal team.
30 year old Chauke was arrested in November 2025 over a road rage incident that left the 34 year old victim with serious injuries following a shooting.
Shebeshxt allegedly shot the motorist in October 2025. He was later arrested during an intelligence driven operation. The controversial musician has applied for bail multiple times since his arrest but to no success.
On Friday, National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi revealed Shebeshxt, who was previously represented by Mr Ramusi, had appointed attorney Michael Khumalo as his new legal representative. His new attorney has indicated his intention to approach the court for bail based on new facts.
The matter has been transferred to the Polokwane regional court. Chauke will remain in custody until his next court appearance on 15 May.
