Celebrity medical doctor, Nandipha Magudumana (38) is said to be distraught over the recent passing of her mother. Magudumana was arrested alongside her convicted rapist and prison escapee Thabo Bester in April 2023.
Nokuzola Sikeleni died on yesterday in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. Nandipha’s father Zolile Sikeleni and brother Nkosinathi Sikeleni spoke to Sunday World confirming the death and informing the media that Nandipha has been made aware of her mothers death.
Senior prison officials and social workers were asked to inform Nandipha at the Bizzah Makhate Correctional Services in Kroonstad, Free State where she is awaiting trial.
Nkosinathi also revealed that the family would be applying for her to be released to attend the funeral. For now the family is focusing on funeral preparations. Magudumana’s father said it was sad that his wife passed away while their daughter awaits trail in prison.
