South African Grammy award winning singer Tyla is set to perform the South African national anthem tonight at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
The “Water” hitmaker is also tipped to perform at the Los Angeles ceremony alongside Future who she has collaborated with on their world Cup song “Game Time”. In our opinion Tyla and Future have the best song on the FIFA World Cup soundtrack so it’s only right that they deliver on the opening night.
South Africa take on co-hosts Mexico in the opening match of the tournament tonight. If you are watching from South Africa, the game will kick-off at 9pm CAT.
