Free-to-air channel e.tv has canned its hit daily drama House of Zwide after five seasons. The show depicting the high-society world of Joburg fashion will air its final episode in June 2026.
House of Zwide first aired in July of 2021, television drama fans by storm. However, the channel has made the decision to wrap up the show this year.
“The drama launched careers, built a loyal and passionate fanbase, and offered audiences a rare portrayal of ambition, legacy, and resilience set against the glamour and grit of the local fashion industry,” the channel said in a short statement on Thursday evening.
