Talk about spinning the block and locking it down!
Nelly (49) and Ashanti (43) wasted no time locking their love down after reuniting. The couple got back together last year and in December 2023 rumours started circulating that Ashanti is pregnant. Nothing was ever confirmed until now!
Ashanti took to social media to share news of her pregnancy and not only that but Nelly popped the question and she said YES. The now engaged couple are expecting their bundle of joy later this year.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope and anticipation,” Ashanti shared with Essence. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.” 
This will be Ashanti’s first child. Nelly is already dad to son Cornell III “Tre”, 25, and daughter Chanelle “Nana,” 30. He also helped raise niece Sydney and nephew Shawn after his sister, Jackie Donahue died of leukemia at 31 in March 2005.
