Talk about turning lemons into lemonade!
As you may recall, Keke Palmer trended for weeks last month, this after her boyfriend Darius Jackson took to social media to call her out about an outfit she wore on a girls night out to watch Usher live in Vegas. More on that HERE
Social media and media outlets alike were abuzz, with many calling out Darius for what appears to be insecure behaviour and mom shaming the mother of his child.
Well, up until now Keke and Usher had never directly addressed the uproar and now we know why. The two were working on the perfect “clap back”. Usher’s new song titled “Boyfriend” stars Keke Palmer in the video and it looks like they had a lot of fun making this. At the end of the video Keke says “I am mother, after-all”, and yes we all got the message, including Darius.

According to reports, Keke and Darius called it quits following his Twitter rant! Although many social media users think the demise of their relationship was not solely because of Keke’s outfit at Usher’s show. If the breakup is true, what a way to lose a dime like Ms. Palmer. I mean, it’s Keke Palmer baby!
Personally, I love the song and the spin/remake of Usher’s hit song “You Don’t Have To Call”. On Instagram, Keke shared that growing up she was always a fan of Usher and was inspired by him as an artist. She also mentioned that when she watched his videos, she didn’t want to be the girl in the video, instead she wanted to be him.
Usher made that dream a reality, as Keke takes on Usher’s role in the video.
