South African rapper and TV presenter Molemo Maarohanye popularly known as “Jub Jub” appeared at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Thursday 27 July after handing himself over to police at Brixton Police station in Johannesburg.
According to reports, a warrant of arrest for the “Uyajola 99” presenter was issued last year and he has since been a wanted man.
However during court proceedings, Maarohanye allegedly claimed he did not know about the issued warrant.

The rapper faces charges of rape, assault and attempted murder after actress and businesswoman Amanda DuPont opened a case against him at the Brixton Police station in February 2022.
DuPont took to social media in 2021, sharing a video where she detailed the rape and abuse she allegedly suffered for two years from Jub Jub when they dated in 2012.
Furthermore, it’s also been reported that following Amanda DuPont’s viral video, other women came forward.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said the alleged crimes date back to 2006.
Jub Jub was released on R10 000 bail and the case has been postponed to August 24.
