Popular budget car Kia Picanto has been recently debuted, and Kia has given the car a refreshed and bold futuristic look in its 2024 model line up.
Exterior
For starters, the car has a noticeably different front end, which has vertical headlights and an LED bar that connects the headlights in the middle. The taillights in the new Picanto are now interconnected from one side to the other, this gives the car a futuristic look. The Picanto’s iconic “tiger nose” grille also received noticeable futuristic design elements.
Base models of the 2024 Kia Picanto come standard with 14-inch wheels, and the 15” and 16” wheels are optional extras. GT-Line versions come standard with 16-inch diamond-cut wheels. Potential buyers of the 2024 Kia Picanto will also have a variety of 10 colours which are inspired by nature, to choose from. The Sunroof is also an optional extra feature.
Interior
The interior has also received changes, starting with the digital cockpit. The car also has an 8-inch infotainment display screen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GT Line versions get a sporty looking steering wheel, heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
Performance
The 2024 Kia Picanto will be available with two naturally aspirated engine options, which are; a 1.0 litre or 1.2 litre petrol engine. In terms of power output details of these engines, Kia did not disclose information regarding that as yet.
Clients will have an option of choosing between a 5-speed manual gearbox, or the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
“The enhanced Kia Picanto will be available in South Africa in due course- no official launch date is available at the time of release, and features or specifications applicable to the South African model will only be confirmed closer to its South African launch date.”, says KIA South Africa in a statement.
